Reading Assessments

We offer 3 different assessment packages. Whether you are curious as to how your child is reading or if you are concerned that there may be a more significant reading issue going on, we can help! Our trained reading specialists have access to many different informal and formal reading assessments! Read below to see what may be right for your family. If you are unsure, please do not hesitate to reach out with questions. We would be happy to learn about your child and recommend an assessment and/or reading program that is just right! The beauty of having a certified reading specialist as part of your team is that we will look at your child as an individual and help your to advocate for their needs in school. Our specialists have years of experience working within the public school system and we are happy to work with your educational psychologist to come up with a comprehensive diagnosis and plan for success!

Informal Reading Assessment

Reading Assessment only: $149

Opening Special: $99 with small group sign up.

If you are looking to simply learn how your child is reading, an informal reading assessment will ease your mind. Our reading specialists perform the F & P assessment (A-Z leveling) to determine your child’s independent and instructional reading level. Mid-school year is the perfect time to complete this assessment. Upon completion, you will receive an informal report of their level and recommendations for instruction. Available for Kindergarten through 8th grade. Upon payment, we will contact you for scheduling. Generally, assessments are completed in the evenings on weekdays or anytime on weekends.

Comprehensive Diagnostic

Opening pricing: $584 Regularly $649

Are you concerned that your child is struggling to read? A Certified Reading Specialist will administer a battery of formal and informal, professional assessments to include a major, norm-referenced assessment geared for assessing phonological processing. The specialist will complete an extensive, 8+ page written report outlining your child’s strengths and weaknesses, suggestions for home practice and educational strategies to complement in-person and virtual learning. While thorough, this report is not a legal document to use in court, or to prove your child qualifies for special considerations in public school. We are happy to assist and advocate if you have concerns. Upon payment, we will contact your for scheduling. Generally, assessments are completed in the evenings on weekdays or anytime on weekends.

WADE/Comprehensive Diagnostic

Opening pricing: $629 Regularly $699

Have you been told that your child is struggling due to dyslexia, dysgraphia, or another specific learning disability that is affecting their ability to learn? This can be a stressful time but we are here to help! Many times the public school system is able to assess but it can take quite a bit of time to get to that point. Skip the wait and have a Certified Reading Specialist administer a battery of formal and informal, professional assessments to include a major, norm-referenced assessment geared for assessing phonological processing. Our specialist will also administer the WADE assessment which is part of the Orton-Gillingham, a multi-sensory approach to teaching literacy to students with learning differences like dyslexia. The specialist will complete an extensive, 8+ page written report outlining your child’s strengths and weaknesses, suggestions for home practice, and educational strategies to complement in-person and virtual learning. While thorough, this report is not a legal document to use in court or to prove your child qualifies for special considerations in public school. We are happy to assist and advocate if you have concerns. Upon payment, we will contact you for scheduling. Generally, assessments are completed in the evenings on weekdays or anytime on weekends.
